OUR VISION
A world in which all people can develop their talents and access funding to address the environmental and related challenges facing our country and the world regardless of their gender or race.

OUR MISSION

To fund and develop promising Afro-descent, Indigenous, women of color-led or benefitting climate impact organizations, providing accessible, affordable, scalable technologies that also promote “ecohealth,” the holistic social, economic, public health and environmental well-being of people and the planet.

In service of these goals, The WISE Fund supports the following programs:

WISE Leaders Program & Rapid Environmental Impact Services

Awards recognition and philanthropic funding for cutting edge Black, Indigenous, women of color-led and serving climate change organizations with scalable clean tech solutions that promote economic security and wellness in Africa, Australia, Brazil, the Caribbean, India and the USA. With our inaugural cohort in 2020, the program also provides environmental  and social impact nonprofits and enterprises capacity building, training, and technical assistance.

Partnering with WISE Leaders, we are expanding access to areas like community solar and also participation in the carbon market, promoting access to new forms of private capital for funding equity. See more…

Funding Equity & Social Investment Development

Public awareness and systems change campaigns to promote Black funding leadership, financial innovation, inclusion and equity including Black Philanthropy Month(BPM) and the Global Funding Equity Principles and Pledge.  Since it was established, BPM has reached roughly 19 million people around the world. This program mobilizes and educates grassroots donors  through research, policy reform and programming to expand people of color’s access to private capital to address issues of environmental, social and racial justice. See more…

Impact Fund

A culmination of the social investment development program, The People’s Impact Fund will allow retail and institutional investors to support diverse companies using technology and other strategies to address climate change while promoting economic opportunity for low-income communities. WISE YOU Global Community™ 

Using novel virtual and other technology tools, the WISE YOU Community provides peer support as well as life and career coaching to promote successful leadership and wellness in a time of crisis. In partnership with award-winning tech company Flerish, WISE YOU is a global network of Black women funders  and allies, including Reunity™,the Pan-African Women’s Philanthropy Network, giving since 2001.
